Bob Krist (DP, Writer, Director) is a longtime photographer for National Geographic and first went to Iceland to shoot a country profile story for the magazine in 1986. He spent four and a half months on that assignment and it started his love affair with Iceland and her people, and he has covered the island nation countless times in the ensuing years.
As a still shooter, Krist was named “Travel Photographer of the Year” three times by the Society of American Travel Writers and his work garnered awards in the World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year, and Communication Arts competitions. He began shooting video about five years ago.
His motion clients include National Geographic Expeditions, Four Seasons Hotels, Sony, VisitPhilly.com as well as major non-profits and foundations. He won the Lowell Thomas Gold award for Best Travel Broadcast in 2014 and the Silver in the same competition in 2015 for travel films he shot on assignment for National Geographic’s Intelligent Travel blog.
John N. Campbell (Producer, Editor) is an independent filmmaker who received an MFA degree in Experimental Animation at California Institute of the Arts in 1993 where he studied under Jules Engel, Betzy Bromberg, and Maureen Selwood.
He has produced dozens of films and videos many of which have screened at major film festivals including Ann Arbor, Vilo do Conde, 25FPS, Black Maria, Humboldt and Big Muddy.
In recent years he has produced and edited documentaries for PBS and Independent Public TV stations in America.
Ryan Mancuso (2nd camera, colorist) is a freelance cinematographer, editor and colorist. He has pursued several forms of film technique, including weddings, music videos, and documentary style projects.
He has filmed for politicians, award winners, international corporations, as well as prominent actors and musicians. His work has appeared in places such as National Geographic Traveler, Style Me Pretty, and VH1.
Ellert Sigurdsson (Field Producer) has been working with Bob Krist since the two first collaborated on a National Geographic story in 1986. One of the busiest and most knowledgeable producer/guides in the country, Sigurdsson’s clients include the BBC, Discovery Channel, and countless other news organizations.
